One way to make money online from home with Internet marketing

Many people want to make money online from home with Internet marketing, but are not sure how to do this. Did you know that there is a very dynamic one and have business online if you want to start making money from home?

Here is the one tool should use every online business owner.

Your list is one of the tools that will help you make money more than anything else you do online.Plus it's cheap to start your menu.

The only thing you need is an autoresponder. once a bit of research you will find this all online.

GetResponse and Aweber autoresponders reliable 2 which use many Internet marketers. This proved to be reliable and easy to work with when it comes to building your list.

To list what can you do other tools?

One: it gives you a follow up with your customers. When you contact them on a regular basis that they will eventually buy from you.

You've probably heard say, money "in menu", and if you have one you can see that this correct. If you do not have one of your own is far more difficult to make money online from home with Internet marketing.

Two: when you care easier to gain people's trust. You can do this easily with the list.

Give them books or software, or simply information useful to them, and they will trust you more, so that when you send a product for you, and will buy from you to others. This will mean you will start money home earlier than would many others who have any list.

It is important to understand your list you sell too. times of many people get offended when you try to sell them something that they expect everything to be free.

How can you, or anyone make money, if everything is free always so to make money with your list really you have to combine the sale and give.

This is an excellent way to make money online from home with the Internet and marketing still works at the list and perform marketing email when you do it right.

An Easily Avoidable Internet Marketing Mistake

Written by Trent Brownrigg  · September 28, 2010

There are countless mistakes that any new internet marketer can make and many do. However, one of them is very common and probably the most easily avoidable of all. This one simple thing can be done the day you start your online business and failing to do it can have very negative consequences down the road.

So, what is this common mistake?

It is failing to register your own name as a domain name.

For example, my name is Trent Brownrigg, so I registered http://trentbrownrigg.com a long time ago to ensure I would own it and control it forever. But actually I made the mistake of not doing it until a few years after I started my business. I should have done it a lot sooner.

Even if you don’t plan to use the domain for anything, you should still own it. You can keep it parked, forward it to another site of yours, throw up one page on it and link to your other websites, or do whatever else you want with it. That part doesn’t really matter. What matters is that you own it.

Even if you are a newbie and don’t think anyone else would want your name as a domain, so you think you can hold off and register it later on. Don’t wait! You should still go register it right now.

You never know who might consider you an internet marketing expert and type it in assuming it is the domain to reach you at, or decide to register it themselves if they notice it’s available. You also never know when you might obtain “guru” status all of the sudden and then everyone will be trying to use your name. If the domain is available someone else will register it. Or even worse, one of your competitors could register it and use it to tarnish your reputation by pretending to be you.

Just the other day I happened to notice that a VERY well known internet marketer did not own his own name as a domain. Why he hasn’t registered it by now is a mystery to me. He should know better. So I registered it myself. Lucky for him, I happen to know him very well and am going to remind him of his mistake. If he wants it I will give it to him. But you might not be so lucky if the same thing happens to you!

Anyway, don’t make this easily avoidable internet marketing mistake. Go register your name as a domain right now. At least get the .com version because it’s the most important one to have. It’s probably smart to also get the .net, .org, and all the others but they are not quite as vital to own.

Why I Still Love Network Marketing

Written by Trent Brownrigg  · September 10, 2010

When I first started my online business back in 2003 it was with a network marketing company. At the time I didn’t know anything about internet marketing or network marketing but my sponsor in that particular company helped me along until I figured it out for myself. Had it not been for her I probably would have quit after a few months like most people do.

Anyway, I joined several more network marketing programs in the first few years of building my business. Some were great, some were alright, and some flat out sucked. Some didn’t last long and some are still around today. I did really well in a few of them and not very good in others depending on how well the program was set up and how much effort I put into promoting it.

There are plenty of bad apples out there but for the most part network marketing is a solid way to start your own business. You can earn an incredible living from it if you do it right. But for whatever reason as I got better and better at internet marketing and my online business became more successful, I strayed away from network marketing. I mostly stopped promoting the programs I was still in and quit joining new ones. There were even times when I advised people not to get into network marketing for various reasons. I guess you could say I forgot where I came from.

Now, it has been over 7 years since I joined that first opportunity that started it all. My online business has been doing incredibly well for a long time and I owe a lot of my success to some of those network marketing opportunities that I joined so long ago, especially the first one.

You might be wondering why all of the sudden I once again love network marketing? The reason is simple…

I sat back recently to take a long look at my successes and failures in my business up to this point, and re-evaluate the direction I want to take it in. When I did that I realized that I was still getting paid every month from network marketing programs I joined back in the early days of my internet business, even though I had all but forgotten about them. Obviously I always knew the money was coming in every month, but I didn’t really take notice of where it was coming from anymore.

I’m still a member of that very first opportunity I started with and have been paid by them every month since I earned my first payment almost 7 years ago. And that’s not the only one I still get paid from monthly for work I did several years ago. That’s what you call true residual income!

Not to mention the fact that I made a lot of friends from some of those programs that I remain in contact with to this day. I have even partnered up with some of them on other business ventures in the years since we met.

Network marketing often has a negative association attached to it that makes many people run away as soon as you start to talk about it. And in some cases there is good reason for that. However, it can also be great and very positive. With the right opportunity and honest effort on your part, you can earn a lot of money and meet a lot of great people.

Basically what I am trying to say, in not so many words, is to have an open mind about network marketing and don’t write it off before you even give it a chance. There are plenty of great opportunities out there and earning a residual income is definitely a real possibility.

Dedicated to your success,
Trent Brownrigg

P.S. – If you want to know the network marketing opportunity that I most highly recommend right now and am more excited about than any other one I have ever seen, you can find it here… Get Paid to Travel! It’s the only program I have joined in a long time but I evaluated it from every angle and came to the conclusion that I had to get in right away.

Facebook, the social network with more than 500 million active users, has positioned itself as an essential part of many brands’ and businesses’ social media marketing strategies.  Yet for many companies, the process of creating and maintaining a Facebook presence remains something of a hassle—and it’s through no fault of their own.

Official Pages (formerly called “Fan Pages”) are the primary means of creating a brand or business presence on Facebook.  But the process isn’t as straightforward as you might think, and there are a number of quirky, limiting, and downright weird issues that create hurdles for businesses trying to establish themselves.  And unfortunately, Facebook’s official support for these issues is practically nonexistent.

For a huge social network that prides itself on the ease and simplicity by which it helps us connect, it’s somewhat laughable that Facebook’s Official Pages are still a source of confusion for so many.  Whether your brand or business is already on Facebook, or if you’re considering setting up a Facebook presence for the very first time, here are five potential headache-inducing problems you need to be aware of:

In addition to Official Pages, Facebook also has something called “Community Pages” that are a huge source of frustration to most businesses that encounter them.  Community pages are unofficial pages created by users in support of topics or causes they care about.  Any Facebook user has the ability to start a Community Page on any topic.  If the Community Page becomes popular enough, Facebook will give ownership of the page “to the community,” meaning that everyone in the community would then have the ability to edit and update the page (similar to a Wikipedia article).  At least, that’s the intended purpose of Community Pages.

In reality, Community Pages are cropping up everywhere that directly compete with Official Pages for brands and businesses, and are often difficult to differentiate.  They can even have the same name as your Official Page!  (Here’s an example for Toys “R” Us:  check out their Official Page vs. this unofficial Community Page.)  To make matters worse, Community Pages are sometimes auto-generated by Facebook and populated with Wikipedia content and Related Global Posts from Facebook users (see #2, below).  They also cannot be edited or deleted, even if you become part of the page’s community.  Here is an excellent post from BlueGlass that explains the intricacies of Community Pages and suggests some steps you can take to protect your brand.

As we mentioned above, Facebook’s Community Pages are automatically populated with Related Global Posts.  Related Global Posts are essentially unfiltered, unmoderated status updates posted by Facebook users that mention the name or topic of the Community Page.  Using the Toys “R” Us example again, any time any Facebook user mentions “Toys R Us” within a Wall Post or status update, it will automatically appear on the unofficial Toys “R” Us Community Page.

In other words, they’re a potential PR nightmare for your brand.  It is very likely that your brand is being actively discussed (either favorably or unfavorably) on a Community page that you cannot respond to and have zero control over.  And because Community Pages often closely resemble Official Pages, it’s also very likely that visitors are mistaking these types of mentions for official communications.  Companies who are concerned about reputation management on Facebook,  beware!

If you have created an Official Page for your brand or business, you can optionally claim a branded Facebook URL (also known as a vanity URL) for your page.  For example, ours is http://www.facebook.com/WebAdvantage.  Facebook calls these custom URLs  “Usernames” and they’re a lot neater, more memorable, and more marketable than the ugly, lengthy URL that is assigned to your page by default.  However, Facebook requires that you first acquire 25 “Likes” for your Official Page before you will be eligible for a Username.

By the time you’ve gone through the Official Page creation process, populated it with some company information, and reached out to your fans to get enough Likes, there’s a very real possibility that your desired Username could already be taken.  Of course, as with web domains, Twitter, and other social media sites, there’s a lot of name squatting going on, too.  There is also a small possibility that your desired username might match or contain parts of a username that Facebook has placed on reserve, rendering it unavailable to you.  If you find yourself in one of these situations, there is a username request form you can submit to attempt to reclaim your Username, however, it’s worth noting that Facebook clearly states there are no guarantees.

Once an Official Page is created, it is virtually impossible to modify its basic settings such as the name/title and category.  Furthermore, Facebook does not provide much warning about this during the Official Page creation process, so it’s something you need to be aware of going in.  This might not seem like such a big deal at first.  But let’s suppose you’ve built up your Facebook presence and have acquired tons of fans; then your company merges, re-brands, or has to change its name for any reason.  Currently, the only solution is to delete your Official Page (losing everything, including fans) and start all over from scratch with a new page name/title.

The inability to modify categories is also a wrench.  At first glance, categories seem inconsequential.  But most businesses don’t realize that their choice of category also controls which fields are available to them.  Different categories provide different fields of information, many of which are very limiting.  Before you set up your page, we’d recommend doing a little research to ensure you choose a category that is most appropriate for your brand or business and provides the most flexibility with fields.  Though not a guaranteed solution, Facebook recently instituted this Request for Page Category Review form, which you might have success with.

Currently, Facebook does not provide a way to change ownership of an Official Page.  This has serious implications for brands and businesses that have a need to transfer ownership of their Facebook pages for any reason, for example, when someone leaves the company.  Although Facebook does give us the ability to assign as many Administrators as we like to a page, it’s the page’s Owner—the original creator—who has full control.  This is why we stress that Facebook pages should be created and “owned” by someone very reliable within a company, such as a business owner or CEO.  The Owner can always assign administrators to manage the page.

Top 10 Scariest Social Media Marketing Sins

Posted By WebAdvantage.net on Oct 29th, 2010

Halloween is just three days away!  The air is crisp, the leaves are falling; it’s the perfect setting for scary movies and haunted hayrides.  But there’s also plenty of scary stuff going on in social media—in particular, for companies using social media to market themselves online (and doing a bad job at it).

Over the summer, we hosted a webinar on The Deadly Sins of Social Media that seemed to really strike a chord with brands who were new to social media marketing and struggling to make the most of it.  By pointing out real examples of poor social media marketing to attendees, we were able to help them recognize common social media “fails” within Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and, in general, learn what not to do in their own campaigns.  There’s certainly no shortage of scary social media marketing examples out there.

Today we’re highlighting the Top 10 Scariest Social Media Marketing Sins that we’ve helped our clients recognize and overcome:

1.  Failing to define goals, objectives and metrics BEFORE diving in. We cannot stress enough how important this is.  Clients often come to us  excited to start doing social media right away, but with only vague ideas about how to execute it.  This is where we take a step back and first help them define a clear roadmap that includes goals, objectives, and performance metrics so that they understand how to use social media most effectively.  In short, if you don’t know what you want from social media, you’re not going to get much out of it.

2. Not having adequate time or resources to maintain it. To do social media effectively, there’s a significant amount of  care and feeding required for upkeep.  Someone has to write the blog posts, tweet, update Facebook, make connections on LinkedIn, and so on—and do it all on a regular basis.  Unfortunately, this is something that many businesses fail to realize before launching social media, and often the reason why their accounts languish.

3.  No planned content strategy in place. As we just pointed out, social media marketing is often high maintenance.  Apart from insufficient resources, another major reason why businesses struggle with SMM is the pressure to generate content.  Despite how easy it is to use social networking tools like Twitter and Facebook, it takes a coordinated effort to read, research, curate, and share content that is valuable to your friends and followers; even more so with blog and video content.

4.  Not doing it often or consistently enough. Something that should go hand-in-hand with a good content strategy is frequency, or how often you’ll engage in social media.  Once  a company starts blogging, tweeting, updating Facebook, etc, they are setting an unspoken expectation that they’ll be doing it regularly.  Exactly how regularly is what needs to be considered and communicated.

5. There isn’t a real person behind the wheel. There is perhaps nothing more annoying or disingenuous than  a company who runs its social media on autopilot: automated tweets, automated blog posts, automated Facebook updates… Of course, some amount of automation is often necessary to manage multiple accounts and make them gel, but the worst offenders are the companies who leave out the “social” in social media.

6.  “Absentee” social media. We’ve seen countless companies with empty profiles, abandoned Twitters, blank Facebooks, and almost-blogs that give the impression that A) they don’t care, or b) someone is asleep at the wheel.  We’d venture to say it’s almost better to have NO social media presence than it is to have a half-baked one. (But we’ll make an exception for name-camping.)

7.  Ignoring your fans, followers, friends (and critics). A huge part of engaging in social media is listening—truly listening—to what people are saying about your brand on blogs, social networks, and elsewhere.  Whether you’re initiating the conversation or not, someone, somewhere is probably discussing your brand and you should know about it.  There are a number of powerful tools, both free or low-cost tools as well as more robust & expensive ones that will will make the process easy.

8.  Bombarding people with sales pitches. If your blog or Twitter is rife with spam and self-promotion, most people aren’t going to be interested to hear what you have to say.  While it’s certainly acceptable to promote your business in some way (after all, that’s why you’re doing social media marketing to begin with), remember to keep the sales pitches to a minimum and provide something of true value.

9.  Mismanaging your social media assets. Here’s a classic (and real) example of what we mean:  an intern or temp sets up your company’s social media profile, then leaves the company taking your account details and login access with them.  Several clients have come to us with similar horror stories; that they no longer have control over their Facebook or Twitter pages because an underling set them up.  Your company’s social media assets should be given the same treatment as your website, and managed by someone reliable.

10.  Putting too many eggs into the social media basket. Social media can be a very effective and rewarding marketing tool when used effectively. However, social media is NOT the silver bullet and despite what people often say about it, social media is NOT free either.  Companies who invest too much time in social media at the detriment of other forms of marketing are tipping the scales too much.  It’s important to strike the right balance with social media and find an appropriate place for it in your marketing mix.

Have you seen any companies commit social media marketing “sins” like these?  We’d love to read your stories—please share them in the comments!

The “Hired Gun”: Why Hiring an Online Marketing Agency to Audit Your Website Makes Sense

Posted By WebAdvantage.net on Aug 27th, 2010

As the third quarter of the calendar year end approaches, we’re seeing an upward trend in clients and prospects asking about web site auditing services.  These folks understand that a review of their website in terms of its marketing performance is needed on a more frequent basis than what has typically been performed in the past, i.e. not only before a redesign, and are looking specifically for outside counsel from online marketing professionals like Web Ad.vantage, not web development agencies or internal IT staff, to provide a non-biased third-party review of their sites.

The more common reasons we’re hearing as to what is driving this include:

Online sales, leads or marketing goals are not being met through the site and they want to know whyThose responsible for the site and/or its marketing efforts are looking for affirmation from outside counsel that the site is set-up to meet the organization’s online objectivesRecurring problems with the site have been voiced by customers/audience groupsInternal resources are not available or capable to perform this type of taskThe site is scheduled to undergo a redesign

Beyond the impending site design, it’s fair to say there is typically a problem that is pushing the need for an audit.  An organization’s sales or leads may be declining or not meeting projections, and specifically online sales or leads are faltering.  Complaints from customers about how the site is structured may be coming in.  One recent client cited that their online audience couldn’t find the information they wanted, that the site was too disorganized and had too much information.  A recent change in product or service offerings or a change in the resources that manage a site could also warrant the need to audit a site.  Many organizations simply do not have the internal staff or time to take this on and want to hand this over to someone else.

Having a third-party and specifically, a third-party online marketing agency perform this audit allows for a non-biased review by marketing experts instead of relying on a web developer or internal staff.  An online marketing agency, such as Web Ad.vantage, will bring years of online marketing experience to ensure a site will meet its intended online marketing goals.  In contrast, Web development shops who are experts at design and development often fall short on the marketing side of the equation.  Plus, hiring an online marketing agency eliminates the need for internal resources and in many cases, gives the company’s marketing person “credited” ammunition needed to get site revisions implemented or bought-off on from internal IT or management.  It is no secret that website development/IT folks and marketing folks don’t always have the same agenda or priorities.  In fact, most don’t even like each other.

Without making this too “salesy”, Web Advantage’s web auditing services can include but not be limited to the following:

Discovery kick-off whereby the organization’s online marketing goals and objectives are establishedStrengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats (SWOT) AssessmentReview of navigation and user interactivityReview of messaging, call-to-actions and contentReview of marketing funnelsReview of overall branding and Review of analytics to see what pages are performing, where people enter and exist, how the site is being found, if there are any breaks in the sales funnel streamBest practices recommendationsSpecific recommendations on improving identified problemsReview time to discuss

If you or your company is in need of an audit to review your web site’s marketing performance, please give us a call at (410) 942-0488 or email us at sales@webadvantage.net to discuss—we’d love to hear from you.
